Vocations are character classes. Each has its own weapons, skills and abilities. Choose for the style you enjoy rather than assuming one class is always best; equipment, preparation and encounter mechanics still matter.
Hojnar uses Tibia’s vocation names for its character classes. This is a playstyle overview, not a damage ranking or a promise that any class can clear every encounter alone.
| Vocation | Combat style | Things to learn |
|---|---|---|
| Knight | Close-range fighting with sword, axe or club. | Positioning, manageable pulls and balancing damage with recovery. |
| Paladin | Distance weapons supported by magic. | Spacing, ammunition and managing enemies as they approach. |
| Monk | Fist-based combat with Harmony-dependent abilities. | Harmony, ability requirements and choosing when to attack or recover. |
| Sorcerer | Offensive magic and elemental attacks. | Element choices, positioning and mana/supply management. |
| Druid | Magic damage with healing and support options. | Balancing attacks with recovery and helping friends when grouped. |
Choose a class you want to learn. Solo-friendly equipment progression and boss health scaling create opportunities, but do not remove class differences or encounter mechanics. Parties can include the same vocation and still receive the shared-experience bonus when eligible.
Check the requirements of weapons, spells and equipment in the client. Match your setup to a manageable hunt, then develop skills and equipment over time. The best item in the game is not the starting requirement for enjoying your vocation.
